Puzzling Scientists; Earth's Upper Thermosphere Collapses

NASA-funded researchers are monitoring a big event in our planet's atmosphere. High above Earth's surface where the atmosphere meets space, a rarefied layer of gas called "the thermosphere" recently collapsed and now is rebounding again.

"This is the biggest contraction of the thermosphere in at least 43 years," says John Emmert of the Naval Research Lab, lead author of a paper announcing the finding in the June 19th issue of the
Geophysical Research Letters (GRL). "It's a Space Age record."

The collapse happened during the deep solar minimum of 2008-2009—a fact which comes as little surprise to researchers. The thermosphere always cools and contracts when solar activity is low. In this case, however, the magnitude of the collapse was two to three times greater than low solar activity could explain.

"Something is going on that we do not understand," says Emmert.

The thermosphere ranges in altitude from 90 km to 600+ km. It is a realm of meteors, auroras and satellites, which skim through the thermosphere as they circle Earth. It is also where solar radiation makes first contact with our planet. The thermosphere intercepts extreme ultraviolet (EUV) photons from the Sun before they can reach the ground. When solar activity is high, solar EUV warms the thermosphere, causing it to puff up like a marshmallow held over a camp fire. (This heating can raise temperatures as high as 1400 K—hence the name thermosphere.) When solar activity is low, the opposite happens.

Lately, solar activity has been very low. In 2008 and 2009, the Sun plunged into a century-class solar minimum. Sunspots were scarce, solar flares almost non-existent, and solar EUV radiation was at a low ebb. Researchers immediately turned their attention to the thermosphere to see what would happen.

How do you know what's happening all the way up in the thermosphere?

Emmert uses a clever technique: Because satellites feel aerodynamic drag when they move through the thermosphere, it is possible to monitor conditions there by watching satellites decay. He analyzed the decay rates of more than 5000 satellites ranging in altitude between 200 and 600 km and ranging in time between 1967 and 2010. This provided a unique space-time sampling of thermospheric density, temperature, and pressure covering almost the entire Space Age. In this way he discovered that the thermospheric collapse of 2008-2009 was not only bigger than any previous collapse, but also bigger than the Sun alone could explain.

One possible explanation is carbon dioxide (CO

When carbon dioxide gets into the thermosphere, it acts as a coolant, shedding heat via infrared radiation. It is widely-known that CO
2 levels have been increasing in Earth's atmosphere. Extra CO2 in the thermosphere could have magnified the cooling action of solar minimum.

"But the numbers don't quite add up," says Emmert. "Even when we take CO
2 into account using our best understanding of how it operates as a coolant, we cannot fully explain the thermosphere's collapse."

According to Emmert and colleagues, low solar EUV accounts for about 30% of the collapse. Extra CO2 accounts for at least another 10%. That leaves as much as 60% unaccounted for.

In their
GRL paper, the authors acknowledge that the situation is complicated. There's more to it than just solar EUV and terrestrial CO2. For instance, trends in global climate could alter the composition of the thermosphere, changing its thermal properties and the way it responds to external stimuli. The overall sensitivity of the thermosphere to solar radiation could actually be increasing.

"The density anomalies," they wrote, "may signify that an as-yet-unidentified climatological tipping point involving energy balance and chemistry feedbacks has been reached."

Or not.

Important clues may be found in the way the thermosphere rebounds. Solar minimum is now coming to an end, EUV radiation is on the rise, and the thermosphere is puffing up again. Exactly how the recovery proceeds could unravel the contributions of solar vs. terrestrial sources.

"We will continue to
monitor the situation," says Emmert.

New York City and Washington, DC experienced a rather powerful, shallow earthquake this afternoon, just as a category 1 hurricane is making its way towards the Eastern seaboard. While these two events seem to be completely seperate, I have a feeling that they could be connected. Follow me down this rabbit hole, if you will, in a short exercise in conspiracy theory building.

In 1997, US Secretary of Defense William Cohen made the following statement at a well-attended conference on weapons of mass destruction, “Others (terrorists) are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves….So, there are plenty of ingenious minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror upon other nations…It’s real, and that’s the reason why we have to intensify our own (counterterrorism) efforts.”

If you think about it, that’s actually a pretty ominous statement coming from a sitting Secretary of Defense!

And consider that if our government believed terrorists were engaging in these pursuits back in 1997, you can sure as well assume our government, for better or worse, is currently well along in pursuing these abilities as well.

Now, there is a gentleman named Richard C. Hoagland who knows something more about all of this. Hoagland is a scientific researcher with some clout. He was technical science adviser to Walter Cronkite during the Apollo missions, worked with Carl Sagan developing the message discs placed aboard Pioneer spacecraft and has had a close working relationship with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory for many years. Hoagland’s own independent research group is called The Enterprise Mission.

Hoagland claims, among other things, that after scouring hundreds of hours of satellite radar images from a variety of sources, he has documented a phenomenon which he believes is evidence that someone or something is affecting the path and intensity of tropical storms and hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean. As sci-fi as that sounds, the evidence is quite compelling. – via Glenn Kreisberg at

The satellite image loops of the storm tracks indicate some anomalous and erratic behavior in the path and intensity of Hurricane Ophelia. They show Ophelia as a well-organized, strong category 1 storm off the southeast coast of the US. Over very warm, late season open water, the US Weather Service predicted a category 4 storm within 24 to 48 hours and the westerly path of the storm track had it headed for landfall along the mid-Atlantic coast.

Instead, in less than 12 hours, the storm had change course and dissipated completely. The radar image shows something very strange occurring to the storm. As the storm tracks west towards the coast, the satellite precipitation image reveals two extremely heavy, nearly parallel bands of precipitation emanating, in waves from the east, directly toward the eye of the storm. As these heavy bands of precipitation intensify over Hurricane Ophelia, the storm begins to change course, dissipate and is quickly extinguished. The effect is quite dramatic and not at all natural looking. The fact is, intensely heavy bands of cool rainfall falling on the eye of a well organized hurricane, through which the warm waters of the ocean below rise to provide energy and circulation to the hurricane, would have the effect of interfering with that energy flow and for all practical purposes, starving the storm of its fuel.

This is extremely similar to what was currently predicted for Hurricane Irene that is currently making its way up the East Coast. Until now. Suddenly, the day that the north-east, and specifically the Virginia/DC/New York area, experiences freak seismic activity, Hurricane Irene begins to weaken and move off course, avoiding its initial path of Havanna, inland Florida, the Carolinas, and eventually, the Washington, DC area. The newly projected paths show that it may barely clip the eastern coast, if at all. Just as Ophelia did when it threatened the same region. However, we have microwave imagery of Ophelia and later discovered the anomalous bands of energy and cold rain.

It is still yet to be determined with any certainty whether Hurricane Irene will continue out into the ocean and subside or will it regain its strength and head back inland? The forecasted path certainly changed to a large degree after the earthquake, but I’m not ready to claim that it was altered. But it’s an interesting parallel.

Enormous Spherical Mass Seen in Shanghai & Beijing Skies

And now the Truth has arrived in Shanghai and Beijing! Following news last week of a UFO being the reason why Chongqing's airport had to divert flights, an unexplained mass event occurred at approximately 9pm on Saturday night in Shanghai. A 'huge white ball' flying 10.7km (35,100 feet) high in the air was reported to the East China Air Traffic Control Bureau by civil aviation pilots, and apparently grew 'bigger and bigger' as time passed.
A purported pilot on China Southern Airlines flight CZ6554 that flies the Shanghai-Changchun route weibbed an eyewitness account at 11:19pm on Saturday night:
On the evening of the 20th at 9pm, on flight number 6554 in the Shanghai area, I discovered at an altitude of 10,700 meters an enormous spherical glowing heavenly body, that grew in size from small to large. Going by rules of geometry, it was larger than the moon by several hundred times, with an estimated diameter of over 50 nautical miles. It faded away after 20 minutes, and was extremely shocking, with dozens of flight crews also reporting to Shanghai!
Not to be outdone, Eastday reports that Beijing residents, though skeptical, claim to have seen a spherical entity above their own skies on Saturday evening:
"The white round bubble appears in the sky and then expanded quickly, until it disappeared five minutes later," said Yu Jun, a former editor of a scientific magazine and amateur astronomer who took pictures of the object. "I believe the glowing bubble is not just a natural astronomical phenomenon, but is a phenomenon occurring around Earth, perhaps in the upper atmosphere, caused by the launching of rockets or satellites," said Yu.

    'Coldest place' found on the Moon

    The Moon has the coldest place in the Solar System measured by a spacecraft.
    Nasa's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter has used its Diviner instrument to probe the insides of permanently shadowed craters on Earth's satellite.
    It found mid-winter, night-time surface temperatures inside the coldest craters in the northern polar region can dip as low as minus 247C (26 kelvin).
    "The Moon has one of the most extreme thermal environments of any body in the Solar System," said Prof David Paige.
    "During the middle of the day, temperatures can get up to about 400K (127C) at the equator; and at the poles at night, they can get very cold," the Diviner principal investigator at the University of California, Los Angeles, added.
    Prof Paige has been describing his instrument's latest findings here at the American Geophysical Union's (AGU) Fall Meeting, the world's largest annual gathering of Earth scientists.
    Diviner was part of the suite of instruments launched on LRO in June this year and has been operating continuously since it was switched on in July.
    In October, the spacecraft found itself in the perfect position to witness summer solstice in the Moon's southern hemisphere and winter solstice in the northern hemisphere.
    The Moon does have seasons - just about. The tilt of the lunar axis is 1.54 degrees. For most places, this makes no difference, but as Prof Paige explained, at the poles, this gives rise to a small, three-degree change in the elevation of the Sun on the horizon through the course of a year.

    "This results in a significant variation in the extent of shadows and temperatures," he said.
    Diviner observed the lowest summer temperatures in the darkest craters at the southern pole to be about 35K (-238C); but in the north, close to the winter solstice the instrument recorded a temperature of just 26K on the south-western edge of the floor of Hermite Crater.
    There were also areas on the southern edges of the floors of Peary and Bosch Craters that got almost as cold.
    Calculations suggest one would have to travel to a distance beyond the Kuiper Belt - well beyond the orbit of Neptune - to find objects with surfaces this cold.
    "The way you can make something cold is to eliminate all possible other heat sources, and in these craters at the lunar poles they receive no direct sunlight and the coldest places don't even receive any indirect sunlight," Prof Paige said.
    "In other words, only what little radiation may be scattered from some distant cliff gets down into these areas; and they just cool off. Finally, they reach an equilibrium temperature down at those low values."
    The discovery adds further weight to the idea that some craters on the Moon could harbour water-ices for extended periods, and also more volatile substances that require even colder storage temperatures.

    Part 1: Anomalous Physics Of Luna
    Just look at it, the Moon. It should not be there at all. Level-headed people who have studied things say that the Earth's moon is the biggest anomaly of the solar system, admitting they have no clue as to why it is there. For one, it is too big a moon for such a small planet like Earth.
    The duo of them is more of a bi-planetary system than a planet-plus-a-moon. A quick look at comparative planet and moon sizes in the solar system is all it takes. Moon is way too big. It should not be larger than 40 miles or so, but it is over 2,000 miles in diameter. It is the size of the US, and not the size of Maui.

    Luna moves on an almost perfectly circular orbit around Earth, not an elliptical orbit. And much too close to Earth. On top of this, it always shows its same side, with only very very slight variations. While the Moon travels once around the Earth, it rotates exactly once -- not more, not less. If it were not exactly once, we would eventually see the far side (not the cartoon), but we don't. This is, of course, how else could it be, coincidence.
    Coincidence is what you have left over when you apply a bad theory.
    Moon is at least 4.6 billion years old, and some rocks were announced to be 5.3 billion years old. Not only is the Moon a lot older than Earth, as measured by their best current dating methods, but there is a huge difference in age on the Moon itself which defies explanation: the dust is a lot older than the rocks. Where did the dust on the Moon come from? Not from the rocks.

    Then, there are hefty gravitational anomalies, so hefty that they have deviated space probes from their intended trajectories. It took NASA a long time to figure this out, and quite some swearing was overheard at orbit mission control. These things are ten times as strong as gravitational anomalies on Terra. They are called mass concentrations, or mascons. Above image shows the lunar terrain on the upper plane, with the lower plane showing the gravitational concentration. Yes, it looks sexy for some reason.

    The Mother Of All Coincidences Is The Death Of All Bad Theories
    For some reason, the Moon is exactly the size so as to obscure the Sun during a full eclipse. Because it is 400 times smaller than the sun but 400 times closer to the Earth. It has been called the most improbable coincidence in what we think we know of what is in the universe (this one).
    Conventional textbooks ask you to believe that a massive object impacted with Terra when it was all nicely molten, and the impact split off Luna, which turned out to be exactly the size as to fit into the Sun's disc. Just as likely as the big bang: The creation of the universe from nothing, for no reason, in a single instant.
    Wake up to the bedtime stories of shience and spot them all around you. This is how the disco very disco baby news tries to sell you a story akin to the Flat Earth. They also try to be funny.

    "By mapping the distribution of a range of elements over a wide area of the Moon, researchers hope to test theories on how the Moon was formed. The most popular is the 'giant impact' theory, which says that when the Earth was young, around 4.5 billion years ago, a massive body the size of Mars collided with our planet. This impact flung molten debris from the mantle of both the Earth and the object which hit us into orbit around the Earth. Over the course of tens of millions of years, the debris stuck together to form the Moon. If the giant impact theory is correct there should be a high degree of correlation between the distribution of aluminum and other elements over a wide area of the Moon and the manner in which they're distributed in the Earth's mantle. Drake and colleagues are in the process of collecting the data to test the giant impact hypothesis. "One early result," he said, "is that there is no evidence for large amounts of calcium, so cheese is not a major constituent of the Moon."
    Notice also the clue to the ancient world, the symbolism, the mystery, the legends of the full solar eclipse. Ritual sacrifices go up everywhere, at least on Earth.

    During a full solar eclipse, the Moon exactly blots out the Sun and allows to see its corona. One can speculate freely that this is an indicator to look at the Sun's corona as one of the keys to solving many puzzles. The corona is inconceivably hotter than the Sun's surface. This can not be explained with the concept of a Sun which is hottest at the center of its falsely postulated fusion mechanism.
    Every full solar eclipse, the ultimate design team shows off how they have left clues for those who can see them. This gets us into the Electric Universe model and plasma physics, which has been covered here at Viewzone recently.

    This is how humans have rather recently figured out to study the Sun, blotting out its glaring body with a patch.
    Another truly artistic thing of the Moon to do is to set at the same point on the horizon as the Sun does, but at opposite solstices. At the winter solstice, the Moon rises where the Sun rises at the summer solstice. Nobody else other than someone on Earth can appreciate this stunt.
    The Sun's and the Earth's dimensions and units seem to underlie the blueprint for the Moon, which acts as a stabilizer, holding the Earth at the right angle to allow for climate seasons and keeping water liquid on most of our planet.

    Lunar anomalies and the history of lunar explorations, and what's so strange about it ... impossible to sum up in a nutshell. But not that impossible.
    Parked Spaceship In Sky: not made of cheese but The Cheese
    Luna itself is an anomaly, a big one, and from there it only gets curiouser and curiouser the more you dig into it. Since we are not wet behind the ears, let's collectively do a subversive thing and present a reverseengineered hypothesis. A hypothesis which rides this investigative horse right into consensus reality (actually, hopping right over it) and presents a fresh perspective.
    We know that we can not rely on anyone to tell us the truth in case the truth is relevant to some degree. Not governments, not scientists or their colleagues over at religion, nobody except independent thinkers and researchers will present you the sheer volume of loose ends that you have to stumble over while trying to understand the world.
    The other so-called investigators are shinetists, polishing their sh*t and shining their asses, who are paid while (and only while) they are shutting up, "debunking" independent research, and playing the politically correct party line. Politically Correct, by the way, is a Soviet term.
    Usually, these shiny priests just ignore their open zipper and smirk.

    Artistic play with lunar maps
    Luna was not captured as a passing-by space wanderer, and it was not made at the same time under the same basic parameters that acted upon the formation of these two solid planets. Solid they are, on their outside. We are not so sure about one, or both, being hollow.
    Yes, Moon too rings like a gigantic bell after being struck by discarded rockets or meteorites, as picked up by seismographs that were left on its surface. It also has periodic "creaking at the seams", as the 20-mile thick shell plates move against each other. It is way too light with its mean density of 3.34 g/cm3, compared to Earth's 5.5 g/cm3. Large areas inside Luna must be cavities, or it does not add up.

    Moon is, apparently, a terraformed, engineered piece of hardware, with an outer layer of dust and rock, and beneath this 3-mile layer, a solid 20-mile thick shell made from highly resistant materials like Titanium. Uranium 236, Mica, Neptumium 237. Not what you would expect.
    No meteorite can really smash it to pieces. Moon seems to have been towed into place through space. Without it, there would be no life on Earth as it would be a sterile habitat. Now let's not take it too personally, it was probably not placed where it is just for us, but for Terra as such. We just happen to look at it and wonder, at least some of us.
    This, if true, as the evidence indicates, would mean that there is a Mighty Arranger involved. Because there are fingerprints all over the place that this is so. Douglas Adams called this guy "Slartibartfast", the unassuming, shortish, bearded planet designer in "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy". This is likely a pseudonym.
    The Hollow Moon ... Moon ... Moon ... Moon ... Moon
    The larger the impact craters on Luna, the shallower they are, compared to the crater diameter. There is a maximum depth of about 3-4 miles for any size of crater, even the largest ones of 180 miles do not cave dozens of miles into the ground while impacting at speeds of dozens of miles per second. Why is this lunar surface not, after such impacts over such a long time by such large and fast and heavy objects, well ... toast?
    Because where the bullet hits the 20-mile kevlar vest of spaceship Moon, it just blows to pieces, scattering the loose surface material that forms the Moon's outermost surface layer. You may know how strong a sphere is -- even an eggshell is pretty robust. Imagine how impenetrable a spherical 20-mile thick titanium shell must be.

    However ... we are not so sure that a massive titanium-alloy shell needs to bulge like a dented ping pong ball after impact, or that all of the craters on the lunar surface were caused by impacting meteorite bullets. Terraforming equipment would leave such debris on the surface while carving out the planet's guts. At which point it makes sense to call it a spaceship.
    Let's see where the evidence leads when we visit the Moon with telescopes, cameras and landing modules -- and remote viewing. This was just the physics introduction.

    Why we abandoned the Moon

    "I believe that this nation should commit itself, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth ... no single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind or more important for the long range exploration of space."
    With his speech on May 25, 1961, President John F. Kennedy established the conquest of the Moon as a national goal. The space program, through NASA, was to have far reaching effects, developing new technologies and forcing the nation's schools to emphasize the teaching of science and mathematics. It was a dramatic cultural revolution that eventually brought us things like velcro, Star Trek and the internet.
    But even before it started, our exploration of the Moon was destined to be short-lived. Despite all the promises and science fiction movies, humans would not build bases on the Moon, mine for minerals or use it as a stepping stone to other planets. In fact, the Moon would soon be forgotten and ignored by space research -- why?
    Carefully Scripted
    The first Moon landing by humans was in 1969 when Apollo 11 took the "giant step for mankind." The American taxpayers, who spent billions of dollars on the space program, were treated to televised interviews with the astronauts as they sped towards their landing site. Televisions were set up in classrooms and the world watched as this great event happened live before our eyes.
    But years after the event, retired astronaut, Buzz Aldrin, revealed that everything we saw and heard was carefully scripted and rehearsed -- with the astronauts even using cue cards to describe their impressions of the distant Earth and the surface of the Moon! Apparently NASA was frightened that something might accidentally be revealed to the millions of viewers.
    It's pretty well known that giant stage sets were constructed to simulate the Moon's surface and that models of the Lunar Module were filmed with actors wearing space suits. NASA denies that these simulations were ever substituted for the actual manned landing on the Moon. But the question persists -- why were they made?

    Secret Tapes
    There were six manned landings on the Moon as part of the Apollo space program. Before they landed, astronauts orbited the Command Module and took photographs of various features. While the televised interviews were carefully scripted, so were the conversations between the astronauts and Mission Control in Houston which were recorded and broadcasted on both radio and television.
    But there was another tape that recorded the private conversations between the astronauts. Their observations were synchronized with a mission clock so that their exact position over the Moon could later be determined.
    These cockpit tapes were transcribed following the missions and were not released to the public for over twelve years. When they were finally exposed, they revealed many of the surprises that NASA did not want the public to know.

    LMP: That's a spectacular crater.
    CDR: Did you shoot some pictures while you were over there?
    CMP: No. it's just going by -- we'd better get it later; there will be better times. If the damned antenna isn't in the way --
    CMP: Boy, there must be nothing more desolate than to be inside some of these small craters, these conical ones.
    CDR: People that live in there probably never get out.

    CDR: Looking at the Moon hurts my head. I won't look at it. There's too much down there I don't understand.
    CDR: Charlie, just keep ... on the book.
    LMP: That's why I'm purging the fuel cell.
    CDR: Oh.
    LMP: I tell you, when we get down to 8 miles, we're gonna really look like we're down among them.
    CDR: Sure are.

    CMP: It really worried me, when I saw where it was. Glad we got sort of a pseudoexcuse -- to cut it out.

    LMP: Probably not.
    CDR: ...Yes, it is ... vegetation. Something as common reference, you know -- familiar reference. So you don't know how far above you are. So it makes it look like the scale is...
    CMP: There's our Loveletts again. Little Lovelett. That's oriented like that. Okay ... That is Chaplygin ...

    Aliens warn: Don't Come Back!
    As reported on, a certain professor, who wished to remain anonymous, was engaged in a discussion with Neil Armstrong during a NASA symposium.
    Professor: What REALLY happened out there with Apollo 11?
    Armstrong: It was incredible, of course we had always known there was a possibility, the fact is, we were warned off! (by the Aliens). There was never any question then of a space station or a moon city.
    Professor: How do you mean "warned off"?
    Armstrong: I can't go into details, except to say that their ships were far superior to ours both in size and technology - Boy, were they big!... and menacing! No, there is no question of a space station.
    Professor: But NASA had other missions after Apollo 11?
    Armstrong: Naturally-NASA was committed at that time, and couldn't risk panic on Earth. But it really was a quick scoop and back again.
    Apollo 14 astronaut Ed Mitchell disclosed recently that "we have been visited..." and that he knows aliens exist and look pretty much like the short, thin ones in the movies. When he was asked if these were the same beings encountered on the Moon, he declined to answer.
    McMoon Tapes: lost and found
    NASA apparently became aware of alien visitors on the Moon shortly after taking up President Kennedy's challenge. From 1966 through 1967 they sent five Lunar Obiter satellites to circle and photograph the linar surface and select potential landing sites for the manned landings. The orbiters were very sophisticated and contained highly classified cameras which could supposedly "photograph and read a gum wrapper on a street in NY City..."
    The satellites photographed the Moon, developed the film on board and then scanned the film with an analog process whose data was then transmitted by radio to Earth receivers and stored on 2-inch magnetic tape. Each hi-resolution image was 28 x 30 inches when completed.
    The first three orbiters photographed the visible side of the linar surface while the last two concentrated on the far side. The photographs were scrutinized at the same time NASA was already making final plans for the manned Apollo missions. Apparently, some of the things on these images were responsible for the secrecy and theatrics that have recently been revealed.
    After the final manned Moon landing on December 11th, 1972, NASA terminated the entire lunar expedition -- this despite the fact that the next Saturn V rocket, lunar module and astronauts were already paid for and waiting to be deployed. It was apparent that something -- or someone -- had warned earthlings to stay away from the Moon.

    Like the final scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Lunar Orbiter tapes were quickly lost and the evidence of lunar anomalies was hidden from the public. They apparently found their way to a large warehouse, deep inside a salt mine, where they were accidentally discovered in 1988.
    Not sure what they were, the tapes were examined by JPL and NASA and identified; but they could not be viewed because of the unique code which could only be read by an Ampex FR900 tape recorder (the first real video tape recorder) which was used to create the tapes.
    An Ampex FR900 was eventually rescued from storage in a chicken coop and with some tweeking it was determined that it could read the thousands of tapes, comprising 2000 lunar images and weighing 48,000 pounds. In 1992 NASA sought funds to decode the images for historical purposed but no funding was forthcoming (no surprise). Several years passed.
    A couple of years ago, a group of individuals decided to try and accomplish the decoding themselves. They apparently had enough skill to convince the JPL to release the tapes and Ampex FR900 units (they eventually found two) and all were moved to an abandoned McDonalds restaurant located on the Moffett Federal Airfield in Santa Clara County, California. Here the task of decoding the images has begun and we may soon see what forced the Moon expeditions to cease.

    Behind the counter of an abandoned McDonalds lie 48,000 lbs of 70mm tape… the only copy of extremely high-resolution images of the moon.

At the same time the last manned Lunar Mission was leaving the Moon, a man named Ingo Swann was having a secret meeting with a group of scientists at Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park, California. He had written to the researchers with a proposal to study a new discipline called Parapsychology.

    A meeting of minds?

    Swann successfully demonstrated his own abilities at locating objects at a distance and describing them with uncanny accuracy -- a talent we now know as Remote Viewing. As the research continued they discovered an unusual phenomenon that remains a mystery -- the ability of Remote Viewers to "see" a location when supplied their geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude). The ability is remarkable even when the viewer has no knowledge of navigation or familiarity with the location. Ingo Swann seemed to be very good at this and was utilized by the CIA to describe certain secret locations inside the Soviet Union.
    In his book, Penetration, Ingo Swann described how he was asked by the government to remote view some coordinates on the Moon in 1975.
    After Swann had attained his mental state, the assistant Axel was told to say the word, "Moon", followed by the coordinates and he would then describe what he saw.
    After mentally "landing" on the Moon, at a precise coordinate, Ingo described a pattern he saw in the sand.

    What they actually look like are like rows of largish tractor tread marks. But I don't understand how this could be, so they must be something I don't understand. They are just marks of some kind. Strange, though.
    He was then directed to the next set of coordinates... but something seemed wrong.

    I'm sorry, Axel, I seem to have gotten back to Earth here... Well, there are ... some ... I have no idea. But whatever it was it couldn't be on the Moon.
    After a coffee break of about fifteen minutes, Ingo and Alex got back to the task of remote viewing the Moon. Alex gave the coordinates and Igor began to describe what he saw.

    Well I am in a place which is sort of down, like a crater I suppose. There is this strange green haze, like a light of some kind. Beyond that, all around is dark though. I am wondering where the light is coming from ..."
    Ingo suddenly jolted and wanted to stop. Alex asked him, "What else?"

    Well, you won't like this, I guess. I see, or at least I think I see, well... some actual lights. They are giving off a green light... I see two rows of them... yes, sort of like lights at football arenas, high up, banks of them. Up on towers of some kind... Well, Axel, I can't be on the Moon. I guess I have to apologize, I seem to be getting somewhere here on Earth.
    After being reassured that his viewing was indeed on the Moon, Ingo considered that he was being asked to remote view a Russian base of some kind and that they had established an outpost on the Moon ahead of America. He was asked to continue and given the coordinates again.

    There is a noise of some kind, like a thumping. I can see one of the light towers better now. Hey, it seems built of some very narrow struts of some kind, thin like pencils. Like some sort of pre-fab stuff right out of Buckminster Fuller's stuff. Let's see... hey, there are some of those tractor-tread marks everywhere. If I guess these are about a foot wide, well then, let's see, if I compute as correctly as I can, well...
    Well, tall -- about or let's say over a hundred feet. But?... Well, I got a glimpse of the crater's edge. On it I think I saw a very large tower, very high that is. Big, really big!
    Well if I compare it to something I am familiar with in New York, about as high as the Secretariat building at the United Nations -- which has thirty-nine floors in it.
    Ingo was then told that what he saw was real but that it was neither made by the Russians nor the United States. Without saying who made these structures, Ingo understood. Shocked, he asked for a break for the day before resuming the session the next morning.
    Again he was given coordinates and was asked to make sketches of what he saw. He described a mining operation with domes and tubes, bridges, nets and what looked like houses. In one house he saw a kind of people.

    I saw some kind of people busy at work on something I could not figure out. The place was dark. The air was filled with fine dust, and there was some kind of illumination -- like a dark lime-green fog or mist. The thing about them was that they either were human or looked exactly like us -- but they were all males, as I could well see since they were all butt-ass naked. I had absolutely no idea why. They seemed to be digging into a hillside or a cliff.
    They must have some way of creating a good environment, warm and with air in it. But why would they be going around naked?
    Ingo then had a strong feeling of fear. He wanted to run away. One of the humanoids he was viewing had looked in his direction, as if he had sensed that he was being watched.

    I think they have spotted me, Axel. They were pointing at me I think. How could they do that... unless... they have some kind of high psychic perceptions, too?
    At this point, Axel told Ingo to stop the session, saying that he didn't want to put him at any risk. Obviously, whoever these beings were, they were not friendly.
    This is why we have not been back to the Moon.

    Electric Universe

    The picture above is our universe. No one could possibly take such a picture because the universe is so big. The Milky Way Galaxy, some 150,000 light years across, is just a tiny dot, barely visible in this computer generated image, based on deep space observations.
    What's interesting about the structure of the universe is that it is made up of countless string-like filaments that arrange themselves in parallel lines and sometimes intersect at "nodes" that encircle empty holes. Some scientists have described the universe as looking like Swiss Cheese.
    This new view of how the universe is constructed has upset the traditional paradigm of science. It contradicts the model of the universe that was predicted by the 17th century physicist, Isaac Newton, in which gravity is the basic fabric of everything. It's also hard to imagine a Big Bang theory with a structure like this. Where's the central point of the initial explosion? Why do we have this strange kind of structure?
    At the moment, most scientists are struggling to explain the traditional model in light of this new evidence but others are quite confident that have found an explanation in a theory called "the electrical universe."
    It's all about plasma
    Science moves slowly and carefully. Old ideas and theories -- paradigms -- are stubbornly defended even when they are opposed by new discoveries. When Sir Isaac Newton developed his gravitational theories in the 17th century, electricity was not yet understood. Now, 400 years later, we have begun to understand the nature of electricity and something interesting called plasma.
    Plasma has been called the "fourth state" of matter, after solids, liquids and gases. Most of the matter in the universe is in the form of plasma. A plasma is formed if some of the negatively charged electrons are separated from their host atoms in a gas, leaving the atoms with a positive charge. The negatively charged electrons, and the positively charged atoms (known as positive ions) are then free to move separately under the influence of an applied voltage or magnetic field. Their net movement constitutes an electrical current. So, one of the more important properties of a plasma is that it can conduct electrical current. It does so by forming current filaments that follow magnetic field lines. Filamentary patterns are ubiquitous in the cosmos. That's what you see in the computer generated image.
    The Electric Universe model grew out of a broad interdisciplinary approach to science. It is not a technique taught in universities. The Electric Universe is based more on observations and experiment than abstract theory. It recognizes connections between diverse disciplines. It concludes that the crucial requirement for understanding the universe is to take fully into account the basic electrical nature of atoms and their interactions. Strangely, this is not the case in conventional cosmology where weaker magnetism and the infinitely weaker force of gravity rule the cosmos. Such a simplification may suit a theoretical physics based on electrical neutrality of matter in Earthly laboratories but it does not apply in space where plasma dominates.
    No where does the Electrical Universe model impose itself more on our paradigm of creation than with regards to the formation of our Sun and planets.
    The Newtonian theory of a gravity forming gaseous body has the Sun coalescing and contracting. This is followed by cooler dust clouds which encircle the central mass and form gravitational clumps of accruing planetary bodies. But the electrical model is more dynamic, allowing large clumps of plasma to change orbits and eject smaller globs of plasma that form smaller orbital bodies.
    If we consider that the entire universe is made from plasma, then huge galaxies are formed much the same way as suns and planets. This fits neatly in to a kind of "macrocosm" and "microcosm" order.
    Proponants of the Electrical Universe observe the various bodies in our solar system. They note the pockmarked surface of the Moon and satellites around other planets but they also pay attention to human history in legends, epics and icons. They envision a time when the planets were in eccentric orbits, often coming very close to Earth, causing huge electrical bolts to discharge between the heavenly bodies, and sometimes colliding with each other. They view the craters on the Moon as evidence of a planetary cataclysm which supports their timeline.

    The Enuma Elish Sumerian Epic Of Creation, 1500 BC, from the ancient Ashurbanipal Library of Nineveh in northern Iraq is one of even cuneiform tablets relating the epic battle between the solar deity Marduk and the celestial dragoness Tiamat, discovered within the ruins of Nineveh in the late 19th century. Giving accounts remarkably similar to biblical stories, they were first published in 1876 as the "The Chaldean Genesis." Modern translations of this epic now suggest that it was telling the events of a celestial nature relating to the formation of planet Earth and a great cataclysm in which the planets approached eachother, releasing electrical bolts of energy, as theorized in the Electric Universe.

    "Appearing  from  Outer  Space,  "MARDUK"  was  still  a  newborn  planet…. belching  fire  and  emitting  radiation….  As  "MARDUK"  neared  the  other planets…. "clothed  with  the  halo...  of  ten  Gods".   "His  approach...  has  stirred  up...  electrical  and  other  emissions….. from the  other  members  of  the  Solar  System.    Ten  Celestial  bodies  awaited him…..  the   Sun  and  only  nine  other  planets."
    "The  Gods  have  decreed  MARDUK’s  destiny,  their  combined  gravitational pull...  has  now....  determined...  MARDUK’s  orbital  path, so  that  he  can go….  but  one  way….  toward  a  "battle",  a  collision  with  TIAMAT!"
      The  discharge  of  electrical  bolts...  as  the  two  planets  converged,  the gravitational  pull  (a  net),  of  one  upon  the  other…. "

    This evidence suggests that, at one time, Venus approached the Earth exhibiting a comet-like tail as it streaked across the sky. Electrical arcs zapped between planets as they approached each other, causing deep scars and craters and ejecting debris that rained down on the surface of the Earth. These events, according to theorists, were recorded in human history as epics of the Gods of Heaven and in archetypal shapes and artistic representations of antiquity.
    Most of these epics and artistic motifs can be found in ancient Egypt. Here, the electrical universe is revealed by a civilization that appears to have understood what some scientists are just now beginning to realize as a better paradigm for understanding how the universe is made and functions.

    Velikovsky's Comet Venus Immanuel Velikovsky concluded from his extensive interdisciplinary research that the planet Venus was remembered from the time of the dawn of civilization as a brilliant cometary body.
    While there is a wealth of literary sources to draw upon, when it comes to the pictorial evidence it isn't as forthcoming. No images can be conclusively identified as actually representing Venus in cometary form, a situation that essentially shouldn't exist. After all, it stands to reason that it was naked eye observations that primarily inspired the myths. So, at the very least the imagery should be equal to or analogous to the literary sources -- but this clearly isn't the case.
    Have we overlooked something? Is it possible images of Comet Venus have been staring us in the face for decades?

    The image on the right has been taken from the back of Tutankhamun's throne. It depicts the wife of king Tut, Ankhsunamun. The queen is shown wearing a very distinctive crown consisting of a disk surmounted by cow horns and two tall plumes.
    This unusual headdress made its appearance in the New Kingdom and features prominently in Egyptian art -- numerous queens can be seen sporting this particular crown. Although the actual shape or outline remained constant (for approximately 900 years), there exist a few variants to the colours shown. For example, the disk was predominantly painted the traditional Egyptian deep red, the 'horns' normally black, while the plumes can be gold, a plain yellow, or blue and without the 'filaments'.
    Like most Egyptian crowns encompassing a sphere, it somehow represents an aspect of the sun, or so the conventional way of thinking goes. This is a perplexing line of thought since the Sun is a golden glaring ball -- it doesn't have cow horns wrapped around it and most certainly exhibits no signs of enormous cometary tails.
    It is apparent even to the uninitiated that what we are looking at here is a comet -- a large comet with a plumed tail. Furthermore, if Egyptian art is used as a measure of time, this comet graced our skies for nearly a thousand years. It is carved, painted, and represented in statues the length and breadth of the Nile valley. Even the legendary Cleopatra wore this headdress.
    Could this particular crown be a true-life physical representation of proto-Venus as it appeared in ancient times?
    To quote Wal Thornhill:

    'In the electrical model of the solar system, any body on a sufficiently eccentric orbit about the Sun will exhibit cometary features. For ancient people to have seen Venus as an Earth-threatening comet, Venus must have had an eccentric orbit that brought the planet near to Earth'.
    Are we looking at Velikovsky's comet Venus? Comparing the comet crown with the Venus diagram on the left reveals some fundamental similarities, far too close to be deemed coincidental. In fact, for all intents and purposes they are virtually identical!
    The orb represents the body of Venus: the horns signify the bow shock as the solar wind slams into the Venusian surface, enveloping its body due to a lack of an intrinsic magnetic field. The two large plumes represent Venus' magnetotail -- split in two and flowing downstream at least three times its diameter.
    The image on the left is just a diagram, and today Venus' comet tail can only be detected by magnetometers and charged particle detectors. However, place Venus on an eccentric orbit in a highly charged 'dusty' environment and the normally invisible magnetotail (and bow shock) would become highly visible.
    Wal Thornhill commenting on Venus' cometary magnetotail:

    'A power surge in those filaments today would cause them to glow, and Venus would form a "stupendous" cometary apparition in the sky. The forensic evidence would stand up in court, showing that Venus was a comet within human memory'.
    Science is slowly proving Velikovsky to be correct in a number of areas. Perhaps with the comet crown of ancient Egypt we now have the pictorial evidence to match. Re (Ra) the Red Sun
    A hazed red Sun, planetary chaos, and a solar system besieged by dust and debris.
    The Egyptian Sun god Re was typically represented as a sun-disk, or as a falcon-headed man wearing a red sun-disk on his head. Such imagery points to the god's solar character. The following epithets present traits which are consistent with the life-giving properties of the Sun experienced today.
    'Re is the great light who shinest in the heavens
    Lord of all lands... praise Re when he riseth at the beginning of each day.
    Thou passest over the sky, and every face watcheth thee and thy course,
    for thou hast been hidden from their gaze.
    Thou dost show thyself at dawn and at eventide day by day'

    Re's solar disk features heavily in Egyptian art and there exist numerous orbs adorning every monument, tomb, and temple wall throughout Egypt. They are also carved on stela and statues, painted on coffins and sarcophagi, as well as on scrolls of papyrus. They are even incorporated into Egyptian jewellery. Since the Sun was the primary source of life, such ubiquitous representation is only to be expected. However, there is something unusual about the way the Egyptians represented our nearest star that is incredibly revealing when considered alongside planetary chaos. Re's most basic form consisted of a simple red disk. Why was this? Why not portray the Sun as it appeared?
    The Sun is a blinding, golden-yellow disk with emanating rays -- a ball of glaring, golden light. A red disk is drab and lifeless by comparison, and yet Egyptian art reveals not one single golden glaring Sun with a complete 360 degree sweep of sun rays. A perplexing situation, especially when considering that gold was the flesh of the gods and Re was the Sun god par excellence as epitomised in the godly pharaoh's title sa re, which means 'offspring of Re'.
    Whether Velikovsky's Comet Venus was the largest 'volcano' in the solar system, spewing out countless tons of sulphurous gas from its many thousands of volcanic vents, or Mars was disturbed from its orbit to undergo a catastrophic transformation, the result of any cosmic catastrophe would have been the release of immeasurable quantities of debris, dust and gas.
    This debris eventually settled down into the plane of the ecliptic where it impacted the planets, the Moon, or fell into the Sun. To understand the effect that a stream of dust and gas 93 million miles long had on the Sun's appearance, we need look no further than the art of the Egyptians. Their portrayals clearly reveal the red haze that surrounded our Sun. The Egyptians carved, drew and painted a red Sun because all they ever experienced was a red Sun. Furthermore, if the duration of Egyptian dynasties is anything to go by, our Sun was hazed red for an incredible 3,000 years.
    The supposition that ancient cultures only experienced a diminished red Sun is both profound and exciting. It allows us to take much of the art and many seemingly bizarre beliefs at face value. Not the least being the fact that a hazed Sun means there was no glare, so they were able to look directly at the Sun without being blinded. This led to naked-eye observations of electrical phenomena such as coronal mass ejections (CMEs), flares, and prominences.
    The image on the right at the top of the page depicts an Egyptian Sun encircled by a yellow royal uraeus serpent which was known to spit fire and venom at Egypt's enemies. The image on the left was taken by SOHO and can be used for comparison, providing some idea of how the Sun appeared in a world dominated by cosmic catastrophe.
    The cobra is a symbolic representation of vicious CME's 'striking out' several times the diameter of the Sun at sungrazing cometary bodies: snakelike CME's protecting the body of Re by spitting fire at Egypt's enemies. In ancient times, those eruptions might have been observable on a daily basis and perceived to be a perennial battle against the forces of evil.
    Regarding the association between CME's and comets, Stephen Smith commented in a previous Picture of the Day:

    'Comet NEAT swung close by the Sun in 2003, apparently initiating a CME eruption that appeared to impact the comet. Astronomers at the time discounted any relationship between the two events because of the size differential between the comet and the Sun.

    'However, several other sungrazers have been associated with violent flares. One event can be a coincidence, two can be long odds, but three or more cannot be dismissed as mere oddities'.

    Regarding comet 96P/Machholz:

    'It did not rapidly dissipate, however. Instead, its intense charge differential caused a gigantic CME to discharge from the Sun, blasting out for millions of kilometers'. The yellow coronal ring encompassing the snake represents the highly charged million-degree corona of the Sun, bursting through as a yellow ring due to its 20 million degree temperature. Gold really was the 'flesh of the gods', as bursts of golden energy were also observed emanating from the body of Re, as in the image above.

    Egypt today has one of the most sunniest and driest climates in the world. Its sunsets and sunrises invoke thoughts of serenity and are a sight to behold. In total contrast, the ancient Egyptians believed Re's daily path across the sky was fraught with dangers.
    It was believed that the setting Sun prompted a perpetual nightly battle with the demons of the underworld. It was a doomsday scenario, and they believed that the Sun might not shine the next day.
    The fighting aspect of the Sun is also played out on Mesopotamian cylinder seals. The 'dispenser of divine justice,' the Sun god Utu/Shamesh [right], is shown with fiery solar 'rays' (CME's) emanating from his shoulders. He also holds a pruning-saw. He is depicted cutting his way through the eastern horizon to again rise victorious. On some seals the snakelike shoulder rays end in stars, indicative of CME's zapping space debris.Upon consideration, a red Sun at war opens a window to many ancient enigmatic beliefs.
    The Sahara Desert
    An extraterrestrial sand scar?
    The light areas in the image above show the wide swath of desert area that extends across Africa, the Middle East, and the entire Asian continent. It encompasses many deserts including the Sahara.

    The Sahara is the world's largest hot desert. At over 9,000,000 square kilometres (3,500,000 square miles), it covers most of Northern Africa, making it almost as large as the United States or the continent of Europe. The desert stretches from the Red Sea, including parts of the Mediterranean coasts, to the outskirts of the Atlantic Ocean. Some of the sand dunes can reach 180 meters (600 ft.) in height. Mixed in with the oceanic sands there are large rock formations, boulders, stones and pebbles. Some have compared areas of the Sahara to the surface of Mars.
    The sands of the Sahara hold many secrets. It wasn't always a vast desolate ocean of sand; around 5,000 years ago it was a very different terrain. It was a sub-tropical paradise where deer, hippos and elephants were hunted and giraffes and rhinoceros roamed the area. With a plentiful supply of food, thousands of hunter-gatherers flocked to live in this lush savannah.

    These facts are evident from the discovery of hundreds of human graves and numerous rock paintings [above], depicting people hunting and even swimming. Furthermore, radar images taken by the NASA space shuttle show that beneath the sand are networks of rivers, once spanning the entire Sahara. North Africa was once alive with people! What happened to this lush green world?
    It was initially believed the Sahara died out abruptly about 5,000 years ago. However, recent studies have supposedly shown this to be incorrect. Conventional scientists believe the process took about three millennia as reported by Reuters in May 2008.

    "The once-green Sahara turned to desert over thousands of years rather than in an abrupt shift as previously believed, according to a study on Thursday that may help understanding of future climate changes. The study of ancient pollen, spores and aquatic organisms in sediments in Lake Yoa in northern Chad showed the region gradually shifted from savannah 6,000 years ago towards the arid conditions that took over about 2,700 years ago. The findings, about one of the biggest environmental shifts of the past 10,000 years, challenge past belief based on evidence in marine sediments that a far quicker change created the world's biggest hot desert."
    Sand is the result of finely weathered and eroded rock. It is believed it takes tens of thousands, if not millions of years for exposed rock to weather into sand. The longer this erosion takes place, the finer the grains. The sand in the Sahara is some of the oldest on the planet; it is believed to have existed for seven million years. Some of the sand dunes are rich in iron ore. The impurities stain the quartz particles, which accounts for their yellow colour.
    Where did the Sahara sand come from? It did not exist 6,000 years ago. Experts are proposing that vast oceans of sand formed in less than 3,300 years. This is impossible because Saharan sand is some of the oldest on the planet. Putting this into context means that an area the size of the US has been covered in a vast sea of sand in what has to be the blink of an eye in geological terms. This makes no sense because the time frame for the formation of the sand does not allow it according to consensus theories. If the adjoining deserts swathing out across the Middle East and Asia are also considered, this equates to an area twice the size of the US. Where did all this sand come from?
    Is it possible the earth is covered with debris from recent cosmic catastrophe? Could debris such as large boulders, rocks, stones, pebbles, dust and sand which are believed to be indigenous to Earth actually be extraterrestrial in origin?

    "When you have an highly charged object like a comet coming towards the earth, before it strikes the earth there will be an electrical discharge between the two bodies and that discharge will usually be of sufficient magnitude to destroy the incoming object -- so you end up with a shower of sand and stuff like that." "The famous Chicago fires where that whole area of the US was lit by strange fires and falls of sand and such like. And this occurred at the time of the disappearance of Biela's comet."
    Countless tons of rocks bombarded Earth's atmosphere, fragmenting and breaking up into fine grains of sand. As it fell to Earth it covered vast areas of once-lush, green fertile land, turning it into the barren deserts we see today. This sand forms a gigantic scar across the landscape which suggests great swarms of debris were hurled at the Earth, and the enormous quantities of sand demonstrates the extent of this bombardment.
    Amun - An Ancient Aurora Filled Sky
    Planetary chaos and intense geomagnetic storms encapsulated in the 'king of the gods' Amun.
    Auroras are striking displays of coloured lights often seen over the Earth's magnetic poles. They occur when the solar wind particles trapped by the Earth's magnetic field collide with molecules of air in the upper atmosphere (ionosphere). They are a spectacular sight and take the form of rapidly shifting patches of colour and dancing columns of light of various hues. The colours observed depend on several factors such as atmospheric conditions, intensity of the solar wind, temperature and location. The aurora is always present in almost every area of the sky, but it is usually too faint to be seen except near the North and South Poles.
    The intensity of the aurora is dictated by the solar wind, a stream of electrically charged particles from the Sun. When the solar wind blows exceptionally strong, the aurora increases. When the Sun is in the active phase it can unleash powerful magnetic storms that disable satellites, threaten astronaut safety, and even disrupt communication systems on Earth.

    Amun is most commonly shown entirely in human form. Often he is standing or sitting on a throne wearing a red, flat-topped crown with two tall plumes and holding a sceptre in his hand. Thousands of images of Amun are to be found throughout the Pharaonic Egypt. The enormous temple complex of Karnak [Above] was the principal home of Amun where he was worshiped as the prominent divine entity. During the New Kingdom, his popularity eclipsed that of other major deities so much so he was referred to as the 'king of the gods'.

    The image on the left depicts Amun in typical form with blue skin, yellow kilt, and red flat-topped crown with tall plumes segmented into sections of blue, red and green (?). A thin yellow frame separates these 'sacred' colours. The Northern Lights photo on the right depicts a plumed or pillared aurora with similar colours i.e. mainly blue supported by green, red and a hint of yellow. Comparing Amun's tall plumes with the aurora photo it is apparent they are clearly a symbolic representation of intense geomagnetic storms that dominated ancient skies.
    Amun's epithets are completely consistent with an aurora filled sky.

    Light was his coming into existence on the first occasion

    Amun's colours were at times interchangeable. Although his flesh was predominantly blue (main sacred colour), some images reveal a red coloured flesh. His segmented plumes were sometimes coloured yellow or white, as too was his crown. The plumes were often depicted devoid of segments and were painted just one colour, normally yellow or white.
    The main colours of the aurora are blue, yellow, red and green and any variants in Amun's colours merely reflect the hues seen at the time which could change on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Sometimes red neon lights covered the entire sky, other times blue, green, yellow, white or a combination of all colours. The Egyptians reflected what they saw in their art.
    The aurora manifests itself in many forms including homogenous arcs, bands, active arcs, rays, pillars, plumes, draperies (or curtains) and coronas. The aurora variations are reflected in the epithet which describes Amun as the 'One creator who has millions of forms & transformations'.
    Amun was also known as 'the hidden one' and the 'one whose true form could never be known'. Such 'hidden' traits reflect the transparency of the aurora. Unlike the light emanating from the body of the Sun, the auroral light had no solid body or attributable physical 'form'. In this respect the Egyptians had a blank canvass, and so chose to encapsulate the aurora as a human being adorning auroral hues and a plumed auroral crown.
    The solar wind is deflected around the earth to form an enormous magnetotail [right] which can extend more than 3,976,766 miles out into space. It is divided into two lobes, or tails, rising and setting in opposition to the Sun. Today it is invisible. From the point of view of Earth's horizons it appeared as two mountains with the title 'Lord of the Two Mountains'. Those electrical apparitions were also attributed to Amun. It's probably why he wore two plumes on top of his crown and not one, or three.
    During that period all close proximity planetary bodies exhibited highly visible electrical traits (this would include the cometary plumes of Comet Venus). These were all attributed to Amun. It is the very reason why the omnipresent Amun/aurora rose to prominence to become the 'king of the gods'.
    Perhaps 3,000 years of cosmic catastrophe is staring us in the face by way of every facade the length and breadth of the Nile Valley.
